Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: About 5 cars in the lot when I arrived at 1030, still plenty of spaces (rattlesnakes were seeing more action but still open spots there too)
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues, easy step overs
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is well marked and easy to follow. A few blowdowns, one is a little awkward and branchy but you can move around it through the woods. Herd paths created around a couple big ones. Looks like new signs were put up. The top ladder is still missing boards but people were still going up and down with little issues
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Couple of sweet and slightly muddy pups :)
Bugs
Bugs: Lots of black flies but I stopped for a decent amount of time and they weren't swarming too terribly. Didnt see any ticks

Comments
Comments: Mt Morgan trail is pretty much dry, a few muddy spots where it usually stays shady and a little wet. The rocks placed to help you get across are fine and should be used!! A couple spots more mucky and tricky but all easily avoidable, really nothing to worry about as far as spring mud goes. Rocks are dry, leaves are dry too and a little slick on the rocks, though I jogged on the descent and so they weren't wicked bad - just watch your footing. Views incredible as always, as all the colors and leaves are waking up!! Always a fun and enjoyable hike here
