The first (and only major) water crossing was doable walking ~10 feet upstream and rock hopping. |

Plenty of blowdowns, especially coming down Dickey. Only a few are unavoidable and on the trail. |

Breeze kept them away, but black fly season is back. |

Beautiful day on Welch and Dickey, dry ledges for the entirety. Some avoidable but deep patches of mud between Welch and Dickey and a somewhat wet trail at the beginning of the hike, but careful feet or waterproof boots/socks do just fine. |
