You could go up without micro spikes but I’d recommend them to make your life easier. Otherwise you’ll move slowly on the mono rail. Crawford to Pierce has snow about halfway up to 20% up the way to Eisenhower. After that the snow is completely gone. Monorail was stable with some minor post holing in certain spots near the top. I took a small tumble on the way down so should have kept the spikes on. Plenty of spots to get water on the trail with a filter. |
