Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot looked clean. When I arrived, there was one vehicle pulled straight in which kind of limited the number who could park in there. I parked 'backside in' out on the road portion of the parking area. Full with about six vehicles when I left. Most cars were inside the lot and facing to the left. As simple as you would think parking should be, a sign with directions might actually be helpful.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The main water crossing (at about the 1.0 mile mark) required minimal effort to keep my boots dry.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Most blowdowns were small and could easily be stepped over. There was one that I had to 'straddle' to get over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only saw one pup. Was on leash and well-behaved.
Bugs
Bugs: No bugs. No ticks. Light breeze probably kept them at bay, but even when it wasn't blowing, all was calm.

Comments
Comments: My first time up this mountain. Loved the views from the summit. Found the climbs/descents followed the profiles quite accurately in that if you are going either up or down, you'll be doing it pretty consistently for a while. Was happy to see the logging-road feel of the trail dissipate rather quickly. Very quiet, lone walk to the summit and just a few folks on the way down.
