Comments
Comments: CCW loop of the ridge, starting up Old Bridle, stop at the hut (open now under caretaker basis), then up to Lafayette summit and head south on the ridge trail to Flume summit. Descend Flume Slide Tr. Trails overall are mostly dry and free of snow and ice. That said, sections with remaining monorail were between the hut and treeline on Greenleaf Tr, between Haystack summit and Liberty Springs Tr jct (pretty nominal actually), then between Liberty and Flume. Flume Slide Tr in particular was essentially dry and made for a "easy" descent. The bottom section of Liberty Springs Tr that is often wet was also essentially dry. I brought spikes and gaiters and didn't end up using either.
