Comments
Comments: Very nice day to pick this peak off my list. Woods were open except for a few moderately thick patches. The Scratch-O-Meter on my arm barely registered, so I would consider this a low-intensity bushwhack. Visited the massive sloping ledge around 2200' S of the peak, which provided the nicest views of the day (full 180 degree view). I was surprised to see some large red oaks up to almost 2500' on the south slopes. Unusual to see oaks that high up in the Whites. There were also a number of nice clifftop views near the summit that afforded nice views. Very nice day to be in the woods.
