 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The road from the Kanc to the trailhead parking was washed out when we had the five days of rain a few weeks ago, and it is now dried out but has a large number of new potholes. Drive slowly! |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I am the trail adopter and this was another trip to work on the East side of the loop (the West side was previously maintained by an AWESOME individual so I have little to do to maintain it). I worked on the drainages again, did a lot of brushing, removed one blowdown, removed an illegal fire ring, removed stickers from a trail sign. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
All happy and well behaved, today! |
|
 | Bugs: |
Oh my starry stars, bring your bug spray. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
There is a hat and some other small items at the trailhead. |

 | Comments: |
I hiked the loop clockwise, though spent a good many hours on the East side of the loop working on trail maintenance. The trails are mostly dried out and almost entirely mud free at this point. I added a cairn to the upper end of the relocation (on the East side of the loop) to try to make the turn more clear. Though the Forest Service recently reblazed this trail with many, many, many blazes, they did not blaze the relocation.
Lots of people were out today, enjoying this great weather.
Gentle reminder: you cannot build a campfire in a Forest Protection Area. For details about where Forest Protection Areas are located please refer to the USFS kiosk and map at the trailhead. |
