On the bushwhack, there's a large swampy area that was mostly dry today but has the potential to be quite the water crossing after a big rain. |

The black flies were just starting to be annoying on the return trip. |

Jumped into the woods from FR23A at about 1400', mostly open woods with areas of rock fields with hidden holes. Skirted around some cliffs near the summit, and then encountered blowdowns at the summit, and no jar. I hit a few other bumps to be sure, and headed down, taking the southern ridge for a bit to avoid the cliffs. |
