Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossing at the bottom of Wiggins Trail is a tricky rock hop with large slimy rocks and easy to overshoot upstream
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cleaned up about 1/2 dozen medium sized blowdowns on the top section of Diceys Mill and Walden from the summit down to Square Ledge Trail. Couple additional step overs on the section of Walden Trail above East loop that need a saw/axe to clean up
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My friends dog had a blast
Bugs
Bugs: Annoying in the lot at the end of the day, none on the trails. Massive thanks to the frost Wednesday night for killing off some bugs

Comments
Comments: A gridlining loop designed on the spot. So bored of the standard Bluebs --> Rollins --> Diceys Mill loop so this was a good one to change it up and knock out some redlining objectives. Bottom section of Diceys Mill in fine shape, Wiggins Trail is steep and loose as advertised in many spots but also has some fine newish staircases near the bottom that were an absolute delight compared to the steep gravely slide. Massive erratic worth checking out at about 2200', easy to follow trail as it angles up and consistently to the right. Blueberry ledges were dry with patchy monorail beginning right below the summit. Patchy monorail down to about 3600' on Rollins, and above 3900' on Diceys Mill to the summit, but never thought about wearing the spikes, after the trashy conditions of the past month no complaints of giving them a free ride. Walden Trail in great shape, we spent a good half hour plus cleaning out blowdowns on the section from the summit down to East Loop. Wonalancet Range Trail is a treat from Walden over Hibbard, don't miss the spur to the fine south viewpoint, to the summit of Wonalancet. From the summit down it becomes a rocky rooty steep descent before venturing thru a delightful boulder field with lots of slippery leaves lurking to eat ankles. Chill below the wilderness boundary down to Old Mast Road and cars
