Comments
Comments: We did a point-to-point hike from the Basin to Lincoln Woods. There was an icy monorail along much the Franconia Ridge Trail, but we could either step on the sides of it, or occasionally walk on the flatter parts of it. Liberty Spring Trail and Osseo Trail had only small avoidable patches of monorail, and only near the top. We had brought microspikes, but never used them.

Not sure why Osseo Trail is considered "terrifying" enough to be even an elective for the Terrifying 25 list. We found a small ledge near the very beginning of the descent from Liberty towards Flume to be worse than anything on the Osseo Trail.
