Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The main thing I'd note is that on the trail going up to Table Mtn there is an area that eroded badly perhaps in the last storm but with some work, perhaps adding a couple of waterbars, and cleaning some others, it won't blow out. There are some nearby waterbars that need cleaning beyond my meager work in this middle section to Table Mtn.The waterbars in the upper section of Table Mtn are doing well. Most of the trails in this hike were in pretty good shape with a nice footbed and corridor to follow. I didn't need to look for paint blazes, but while there aren't a lot they are in good shape. The corridor is just so obvious they aren't needed at least in non-winter. There was a lot of small branch debris in places which I flicked, kicked and picked but there's more. I took a bunch of broken larger stems off the trail. As for blowdowns from Bear Notch Rd to Table Mtn there is a multibranch yellow birch blowdown that isn't blocking but it is causing hikers to go off path. It needs clippers, not a saw. Table Mtn to Big Attitash has a couple of significant blowdowns (6-7") heading up from the col. I opened up a blocking blowdown mess but it could be cleaned up a bit more. There were a couple more on the ridge closer to the peak which are maybe 5" and a bit of a nuisance; not blocking. There are some other stepover or duckunder blowdowns at occasional intervals that are not problems. The wet meadow a short ways below Big Attitash is just as soggy and lush as always so people must be skirting it, but no obvious herdpaths have formed . A few pole stems placed in it along the route adding to the couple there might be the easiest fix.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great trails for dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: A bit of a nuisance sitting on the ledges later in the day on the return leg; not a problem earlier.

Comments
Comments: A very pleasant walk in the park, with nice vistas from the Table Mtn ledges and plenty of solitude. The spur to Big Attitash is quite short; the one to Table Mtn much longer but still not a big deal. There are no views from either.
