Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easily hoppable. Did pause at the major brook crossing to select the best route
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Generally good - water bars cleaned and working. GRT needs major work to get more water off the trail. Frost trail has water coming out of the middle of the trail at a steep point running down the trail for a distance. Other trails may require more side trenching to get the water off.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: None except at the end at the trailhead. Was too cold for bugs
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a green puffy jacket hanging on a tree near the trailhead parking lot.

Comments
Comments: Tough day for this climb – weather forecast wrong – overcast, sun tried but failed to come out completely. All rocks, boulders, and ledges very wet made for slow travel. Some rotten snow and ice 2/3 the way up STwin but can be avoided and/or stepped on carefully. Had multiple snow pellet showers on the way up STwin. Slight breeze on summit, socked in with no views, and nowhere near the forecast temps and windchill. Galehead was quick and easy. Worth the stop at the overlook for the views. Glad I wore winter boots and gaiters for the trail conditions and stream crossings. Carried layers for predicted cold temps on STWIN.
