| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Surprisingly, took last spot in lot at 9AM. Some sunrise/overnighters were coming down as we were leaving, nobody had to park along the road today. Thought it was going to be a zoo but was pleasantly surprised. |

Only a minor issue when hanging at the lookouts of both summits, which were sunny, warm and no wind. As long as we were moving, they were not noticeable even without spray. |

| Comments: |
A pleasant day was had with my two daughters (1 of the canine variety). Concerns of crowds and swarms of bugs were unfounded...took the final spot in the lot at 9am. Plenty of overflow parking available along the road that was not needed today. We hiked the loop CW. Still some monorail between the peaks but nothing that requires traction. Trail runners stayed dry on all crossings. Hopefully the two hikers heading up about a mile in as we were hiking out who asked "Where does this trail go? We haven't seen any signs yet." had a good day. I always feel like I didn't do enough to convince people like that to turn around. On review, I wished instead of just saying "It's a hard hike" I'd told them that we'd been hiking for over 4 hours already. |
