Mostly Dry on the way up to Hermit Lake. Started to see small patches of snow here and there around 3600'. Tuckerman Ravine is closed still from bottom of the bowl on up. Went Boot Spur to the ridge. Decided go from Davis Path to Lawn Cut-Off. Veered off-trail a little as I followed the route some people were crossing across a snow field but it led me to Lion Head and then back to Tuckerman to the top. Lots of bugs on top but was still beautiful. Went back Down Lion Head and crossed another snow small snow field but all was doable. Did use spikes to be cautious but saw people doing it without. Some running water on Lion Head but avoidable. Hooked back up with Tuckerman then down. Prfect day out. |
