Bearcamp River, Old Mtn Hwy, Butterworth, Pasture, Five-Finger-Point, East Rattlesnake, Col, Ridge
Col Trail: Area where a large tree fell, parallel to the summit of W. Rattlesnake, left behind a muddy pit I had to jump around to avoid
Five Finger Point: Towards the end of my counter clockwise loop, some trees are fallen where I went off track briefly but it was quickly realized
Old Mtn Hwy: After the height of land... yikes. Soooo eroded. The small footpath that ran along some of the worse spots looks like it'll keep getting smaller and smaller. Also no trail sign on the 113 side.
Pick of the day was totally Beede Falls. Well maintained, easy access, gorgeous. Old Mountain Highway wasn't super enjoyable, wish I had more information on the history between the cemetery and many stone walls. Otherwise, nothing to see.
Trails around the Rattlesnake area were just about the same, short, steep, well marked. Five-finger-point was super cool though, reminded me of something I'd do on the mid-coast of Maine. |
