Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: ROAD CLOSURE DUE TO SIGNIFICANT WASHOUTS Bull Branch Road is closed at the gate, which is right after two consecutive bridges and is 1.7 miles from the trailhead. There are multiple parking spaces. There are multiple very large washouts, and already there are massive drainage pipes laid out for the repair. The sign, at the gate, does not indicate how long the road will be closed. If you would like pictures feel free to message me.

Comments
Comments: I found the roadwalk to be very pleasant - the brook is really beautiful with many cascades. The first 2.3 miles of the trail is even better - you walk along the brook, with a few crossings, and numerous places to sit and take in the scenery. There is a small area of artifacts, and I found a well preserved bucket. Those of you who have met me know that that find makes my day!! The climb was straightforward and helped by the presence of lots of trees for hugging.
There is a very moose-y area but no moose today.
The ledge scrambles got my attention, particularly with the stronger than predicted winds today.
There is some unavoidable mud and tricky (ie no longer nailed down) bog bridges just below the Mahoosuc Trail junction.
I headed up the Mahoosuc Trail, with the intention of seeing the North Peak of Goose Eye, however, the winds were still very strong, the scrambles were wet and it looked like more rain was coming. So I turned back.

I am nearly done with the Hiking the White Mtn Guide project and can definitively say that the Wright Trail is on my list of 10 most favorite trails. I am no longer a Mahoosuc-hater!! :)
