 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossings have been somewhat rearranged due to the May 1st storm. Moriah Brook crossing of Wild River has been scoured out a bit, marginally deeper than it was, and harder to get down into, if coming from the campground. Moriah Brook crossing on Highwater has been rearranged, and the trail entrance on the opposite bank (if headed southbound) is obscured by flood debris. The Wild River crossing on Wild River/Black Angel seems a bit deeper than normal, and was not able to be rock hopped. The three major crossings above were forded in knee to thigh deep water, not terrible at the days water levels (~175 cfs). Cypress Brook was an easy rock hop. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A large new washout on the combined Moriah Brook/Highwater Trail, a short distance north of where the trails split heading south and west. An approximately 200 foot section of the old rail grade has slipped into the river. The trail is easily picked up on the other side of the washout, but it's a bit tricky to get around, as the slope is steep. Lots of blowdowns in the wilderness, most of the step over variety. Highwater brushy in spots. |

 | Comments: |
Only here to report on the crossings and new washout situation on Highwater. Very quiet, dodged all the rain showers. |
