Comments
Comments: A MAGNIFICENT day was had on Isolation. After being on Reel Brook yesterday I had zero desire to hike Rocky Branch, even if it ment over 5k gain to climb a 4k footer. I am not good a smart man but even I think something is wrong with that math. We had great conditions through the entire length of Glen Boulder. As Donkey from Shrek can confirm, I like that boulder! That is a nice boulder! There is one patch of snow on the trail, about ten feet total in length. Should pose no issues. We absolutely rocket up GB in the morning, Lil Squirt must have had somwhere to be, ha. No real issues on Davis from GB junction to Isolation Spur, aside from afformentioned blowdowns, and the standard mud bath that is David Path from East to summit. We enjoyed a long lunch of the summit. There was a USFS ridge runner out, which was quite comical because I turned around, saw them, and then yelled "RUN ITS THE FEDS!" to a guffaw. Ran into Mick, Phil, Jo, Renee, HikerTom, among others. Ice tea and beer while a foot soak in Glen Ellis was the perfect nightcap for such a great day! Of note, alpine laurel's are in bloom!
