 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Looks like a pro crew came through recently, some nice ax work on some big older blowdowns. My saw stayed in the pack today |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Several well behaved pups on the trails. Some dog owner decided to leave a bag of dog crap near the trail head. THey must be waiting for the dog crap fairy to remove it ;) |

 | Comments: |
Trail was bit damp from the rain for the last few days, drainages look to have been cleaned recently. The spruces on the top of Starr King seems to be dying off opening up the view somewhat although the actual view at Starr King is starting to grow in again. The same phenomenon is happening on the Waumbek summit, the blowdown patch east of the summit is slowly starting to shrink as the woods slowly reclaim the open area. Black flies were out for sure at this spot. Bugs were minimal heading up due to cold night but heading down around noon they were getting noticable. |
