Plenty of parking at the trailhead for the Elwell Trail. Four cars in the lot when we started; four in the lot when we left -- room for another 10-11 cars. |

Around the Pond Trail is getting pretty brushy at the southern end of Goose Pond, mainly softwood saplings. |

A quick walk today, late in the day to avoid crowds and Bike Week traffic, and we saw just a couple of people, and those were near the trailhead. Once on the trails, everything was pretty quiet.
We did enjoy watching a raven harass a red-tailed hawk for about 20 minutes. We heard the hawk near Little Sugarloaf, and then the raven began shouting at the hawk by the time we were near Goose Pond. |
