Parking/Access Road Notes

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One easy rockhop
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One big blowdown between Osceola and chimney
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw some VERY scared dogs being forced up the chimney bypass (others were fine).I wouldn’t take a dog between the two peaks because of this unless your dog is a very confident hiker ok with narrow exposed and steep ledges. Seems extremely difficult to carry a dog through if you had to.
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies and mosquitos not so bad I would deal with a head net, but bad enough to make me stop rarely and briefly.

Comments
Comments: Great hike! Happy to get some sunshine. Rock wet in some places but definitely manageable. Ground is soft and wet but not muddy except in a few small places. Dry rock at the chimney where it matters. Remember to wear sunscreen!
