Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossings on Pine Bend were small and a none issue, the water crossings on Sabbaday were tougher and I wouldn’t have made it without poles and taking off my shoes on one. The rocks were slipper which made it more difficult.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several large downed trees on Pine Bend, though I easily got around, over and under them. While the trail is relatively easy to follow there are very few trail markings, the water crossings on Sabbaday definitely could use a few markers.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Little black flies were horrible, I ate a dozen or so.

Comments
Comments: I went up Pine Bend Brook Trail and down Sabbaday. Overall I am not sure one is easier than the other. Grade wise it’s a flat 3.5 miles of level grade on Sabbaday but you have the water crossings then a half mile of steeper sections and a rock slab. Pine Bend is flat for 2.4 miles then steeper for a mile and a half-ish with lost of tricky rocky sections. I think I personally preferred doing the loop counter clockwise as I did.
