N/A, but it's the northern Presis, so I imagine only hearty trail dogs would be up there. |

A great day to meander around the Lowe's side of Adams!
Active maple sugar operation ongoing on the bottom portion of The Link was pretty cool to see. Trails were very wet/muddy/slippery in the trees, so foot placement was at a premium. Once above treeline, everything was dry.
Swung by Crag Camp and saw a note in the register that the caretaker will be back on Friday. He noted he hadn't seen anyone for eight straight days. Hopefully the dude gets some company this weekend!
Overall, this loop might be the most mellow way (if that's even possible) to do Adams. Amphibrach/Spur is pretty steady all the way up (no crazy steep sections), and Lowe's Path down is steep from treeline to about 3000'. The walk out the bottom part of The Link (2 miles back to Appalachia) was amazing. Almost flat, insanely good footing...perfect way to stretch out the legs after the day's adventure. |
