 | Water Crossing Notes: |
I hadn’t been back on this trail since 2017, and wow…the washouts have changed this trail dramatically. I counted six legit crossings.
1 - rock hopped (carefully) on the way up; forded on the way out
2, 3 - gave these the North Twin treatment and bushwhacked. There’s literally no need for these two crossings
4 - forded in both directions
5 - rock hopped both directions
6 - forded on the way up; rock hopped on the way out |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No blowdown/drainage issues. As noted above, it certainly feels like the last two crossings were created due to the washouts since 2017. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
No doggos today |
|
 | Bugs: |
Holy. Dear. God.
The mosquitos were ridiculous. Especially on the bushwhack. Got eaten alive. |

 | Comments: |
We wanted something a little different, so Fool Killer fit the bill.
Sabbaday was Sabbaday…water is just high enough to make the crossings a pain.
Bushwhack start was easy to locate, and the whack itself wasn’t anything crazy. Somewhat thick woods for the steep 300’ (or so) push, and then once it leveled out, woods were wide open. No issue finding the canister and signing in. |
