Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Hanson Farm Road is across from the former Longhorn Restaurant that only people over 50 might know this reference. Hanson Farm Road is on the same side of Rte 3 and just north of the Irving Gas Station. There is a parking area straight ahead past the Not a Maintained Road sign. There was one car there when we started and three when we returned. People walk directly from their hotels to here.

Comments
Comments: Becca and I were looking for something to not too long and near good places to pack raft and Bria joined us get a new redline. Started up at just past 8:30.It wasn't raining but everything was wet from the previous night's and day's rains. From the parking area we took the road/snowmobile trail under the highway and before crossing the brook take the way to the right. There is a little white trail sign. Harvard Brook was ROARING! Luckily things weren't too slippery or muddy and the pathway was clear. There are red blazes to follow generally mark the best way to walk and a million different herd paths beside the brook and up on the hillside. This is a very heavy use area and it is included in a State of NH tourism advertising campaign--not named but not hard to figure out where it is. The cascading water's noise was as grand as watching the crashing water fall. After the bottom of the first falls we continued up all the way to the top of Harvard Falls (where the State's ad photo was taken but only the very top of the ledges could be seen and no way to take a bath there without getting carried downstream. From here there is a good view of the Interstate in the Pemi Valley below. We went a tad further up the brook but it was wet and brushy and no reason to go further. We met a lot of people and dogs making their way up the path on our return. Fun morning.
