I took the woods road (0.4 mile) to the end, then jumped in the woods. Many moose paths to choose from. From the end of the woods road I went directly to the peak; one way mileage from car to summit was 1.2 miles. Canister was easy to locate. On the descent, I strayed just a little to the north of my ascent line and didn't find the nice paths, though it was still open woods. A little wet and sloppy today from the rain in the morning, plus it rained on my descent, but still a good hike. |
