No issues, usually rock hoppable. Water is a bit high given recent rainfall. |

Trail was a waterfall in places. No blowdowns. |

None today on trail, saw a beagle at Liberty Springs tentsite. |

Hiked up to Franconia Ridge from the north and camped overnight at Liberty Springs tentsite. First time on Skookumchuck Trail, not very much scrambling, a pretty even climb most of the way. Didn't see anyone on trail until treeline, where a nice couple (CU Boulder alumni and wedding photographers visiting a friend in the area) said hi. No views, ridge completely socked in. Occasional stiff wind gusts but nothing terrible. Decent amount of people up on the ridge. |
