Bugs
Bugs: Surprisingly, not bad. At summit, the black flies were around, but not so bad that I considered a head net. I kept moving for the most part, and that helped, but I never did end up applying any repellent. I expect the deer flies are about to pounce though, it was a lucky day
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Purple scrunchy at Emerald Pool, left it there

Comments
Comments: A lot of muddy sections right now, so the gore-tex Hoka’s were a blessing. I’d estimate 35% of the entire trail system I hiked today was mud. Mostly avoidable by stepping on rocks, the rest was easy thanks to great drainage work by the trail maintenance crews. When stepping in the mud, there was never more than an inch or two to step in. Thank you Trailwrights!
