Date of Hike: Monday, June 19, 2023
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lincoln Woods, so plenty of parking. We arrived Sunday at noon and got a spot no problem
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water was high. Ranger station said people had turned back at water crossing. We did black pond bushwhack and had to go in about knee deep at highest point.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots and lots of blowdowns. All can be gone over or under or around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw tons of dogs on Lincoln Woods trail, but none after that
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies and mosquitoes were terrible at some points and non-existent at others. When they were there, they were relentless. Bug net helped. Don't miss a spot with your bug spray, they'll find it.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a trekking pole left behind at one of the "stealth" sites along lincoln brook trail after last crossing. Meant to grab it on way back, but forgot.

Comments
Comments: Many parts of the trail were just running streams. Lots and lots of mud. If you take Brutus bushwhack coming down, be aware that the trail turns right before/at the stream, not across it. You can see what looks like a trail across, but that's not the bushwhack.
