The logging roads down low are all filled with ferns and hobblebush, so I stayed in the woods as much as I could, but there were a lot of logging roads. There's also a grown-in logged area at 2320' filled with amazingly tall hobblebush, thick brush and picker bushes. Even though there were herd paths running right through it, on my ascent I went to the north of it and on my descent I went south of it; waaay too many things could've been hiding in there! RHP was a little tricky to find in the mossy pencil woods. Another good 'whack in the north woods. |
