 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Several, each of which some strategically placed rocks so no stepping in the water. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail fairly clear, a little overgrown in spots with ferns and grass but mostly a nice walk in the woods. Well-blazed especially where it might be confusing. |

A few but we put Deet on at the car so they didn't bug us too much! |

We needed to fill a hole in our red line of the Greenway. We started out hiking up to Oak Hill summit. Trail down low had a few muddy spots but as soon as we started ascending that disappeared. The trail up was easy then moderate with a final slightly steep push near the top. Jar in tree to the left of the trail. It was plastic and someone had put it in a plastic bag so the journal in side was pretty damp and flaked a bit when we took it out. We'd hoped to look back at our previous ascent but didn't dare try to open it. We replaced the jar with a glass one and added a fresh register. Back down towards and past our car to accomplish the 2 mile road walk up Halfmoon Pond Road to Lovewell Mountain Road. Nice walk although a bit undulating. Was surprised how quickly we came to our destination once we had passed Halfmoon Pond. Once we reached Lovewell Mountain Road we headed back to the car. Nice walk on a pretty sunny day for a change. |
