Comments
Comments: Great day to hike Mount Garfield for the first time with clear weather and in mid 50's. Good views of Pemi Range from the summit of Mount Garfield with a 360 degree view. The trail was muddy in spots, but for the most part the trail was in good condition. All of the water crossings were rock to rock hopping no water issues. A few blow downs on the trail easily crossed under or over. Great to be able to hike in good weather and I enjoyed the several hikers I met along the way. Hiked down for a few miles with the caretaker from the Guyot AMC Shelter. She was a fast and friendly hiker who answered several questions about the logistics to camping there. The conversation made the downhill hiking go by quick an enjoyable.
