Water Crossing Notes: I wore my Tevas from the parking lot and then just stashed them after crossing. They felt oh so good on return! River is not rock-hoppable yet.

Dog-Related Notes: I would not bring a dog on this route unless it is part mountain goat and has pads of steel.  
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies were very noticeable above 3500 ft. There was no wind today at all.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Someone hung a tan water bottle on the first slab approach at around 4200.

Comments: This is a tough way to do Jefferson but very rewarding and quiet. I saw one other person the whole day.
