 | Comments: |
Both trails are wet. The Brook Trail is easy enough to follow, even with few/no markings above the stream, but there are no markings on the slabs to show which way to go. The slabs themselves are steep and hazardous, especially when wet, so if you guess wrong about where the trail continues above the slabs, you have to come back down over tricky and steep rock to try again. When you arrive at the base of the slabs, there should be clear paint on the rocks and/or visible cairns, but without them you can't see from the base where you need to go up above. Coming down the Liberty Trail was much easier. |
