 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Besides my pup only saw one dog heading out when I just started and passed a lovely little poodle on my way down. My pup had a wonderful day, enjoyed a couple stream dips, climbed up and down some ladders and had summit snacks. |

 | Bugs: |
Vicious Horse/deer flies the size of silver dollars on Eisenhower summit. Some black flies above tree line that were mostly kept at bay by a light breeze. |

 | Comments: |
Trail beautifully maintained. Mostly avoidable mud, only a couple sections that were a bit unavoidable. Glad I wore my boots and not my trail runners. I’m sure it will be a muddy mess in a day or do with the incoming rain. Small steam crossings were manageable and took hopped. Gibb’s Falls was beautiful, well worth the little detour. My pup enjoyed dunking in the water. |
