Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the Coos trail kiosk this time, better than off the side of the road for your car, it's right before the wooden bridge on the right. As far as Nash Stream road goes, it's the best one around, it's in amazing shape.

Water Crossing Notes: none
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape, one step over about 1 mile in, maybe less. New signage on the lower half, some for snowmobiles and some for the Coos trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Easy trail for Shay, the brook flowing through the wardens clearing was going great, Shay had a nice cold drink.
Bugs
Bugs: They were off and on, wore my headnet once in awhile and used deet once for the whole hike. They should be calming down in the next few weeks.

Comments
Comments: Me and Shay made our second ascent of this novel peak for #40 of our second round of the 52wav list. I consider this peak an enigma, the trail is nothing to write home about, but the summit is spectacular. The number of mountains visible is quite rewarding and it encompasses quite a few ranges if you know what you are looking at. For those interested, the stove is on the west ledge just below the summit.
In other Nash Stream news, they put a kiosk in the Col of the Percy peaks, it contains a sign-in book, I did not see it in person. I heard they were also replacing the summit sign on North Percy with a new one. I'm assuming it will be like the new one on Sugarloaf, glad I saw the old one 2 weeks ago before it was taken away for good. Ironically , when they replaced the Sugarloaf sign, I missed seeing the old one by 2 days about a year and a half ago.. Cant win them all.
