Comments
Comments: Due to unexpected traffic, we arrived later than would be possible to see the actual sunset, though there was cloud cover to the west. Still a beautiful hike up. It had been a while since we hiked, which is why we took this route. Anyway, the point of saying this is: if you want to see a sunset, take a shorter trail! If you don’t want to end up hiking out after midnight (due to getting turned around when getting replacement headlamp), take a different trail. Also, this trail was too slippery for any kind of quick descent. We brought four headlamps for two of us. One died en route, and one was already dead. Oops! So, I highly recommend always having two per person, at least. I felt good for being overprepared, even if maybe this wasn’t the most wise trail to take at 6pm. Haha
