Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Most rock hoppable. Others require some shallow dippage of the boot.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Surprised at the number of trees in the trail from North to South, mostly Middle to South. One or two leg lifters from N to M and 3 to 6 from M to S.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Just a couple near the parking area trails...none at elevation.
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies when stopped. Nothing to chase you off the mountain, but enough to get you moving again plus one in the eye while trying to negotiate the slabs on North Slide.

Comments
Comments: Turned out to be an amazing day with mostly sunny skies with great views from the slides. Comfortable temps. The original plan was to bypass North Slide but we decided that fortune favors the bold (...or dispenses the foolish), so up we went. Some slippery, mossy slabs that required some care and conscious foot placement but an awesome climb overall although I did relive my ride down Flume slide in my younger days (luckily no injuries). South Slide descent was easier with dry trail and solid footing. Trails are mostly dry with some stretches of mud, standing water and flowing water. Nice to meet and chat with a fellow gridder. Good day in the mountains.
