Followed the Mittersill-Cannon "hiking trail" route that was created by the state, but never embraced by certain people at the ski area (when it first opened, a no hiking sign was installed at the top entrance). Yellow blazes still visible.
Pretty poor going today, with lots of active erosion and some areas of overgrown, wet grass. Would recommend avoiding the main mountain, as they are doing some jackhammering.
Cloudy day with the summits mainly in the fog. Lots of wildflowers in bloom. |
