Super fun trail going up Kelly to start. The stream was really pretty to follow. A small part of the trail was actually in the stream and you had to climb over a few rocks, but very doable. The Lawrence Trail to the summit was fairly easy, with some mud, lots of switchbacks, and a few tricky slabs.
The summit has large ledges with spectacular views. Walk down to the large ledge and go to the left through the little brush, and there is a section of rock that is perfect to sit for lunch and enjoy the beauty of the Whites.
We went back down Lawrence and took Old Mask down to the lot. Wow! That was so pretty and super easy.
Huge parking lot shared for people hiking Whiteface and Passaconaway. There is a gross port--potty in the parking lot. I'd rather go in the woods.
It was 9 miles long and took us 6 hours with including an hour lunch and a few breaks to cool off.
Plenty of water for filtering and soaking feet if necessary.
