 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We got there early and snagged a spot. Full upon return - cars waiting for spots. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing onto the Red Ridge Trail was a big question for us as we headed in today. The crossing was rock hoppable-but just barely. There were options, if needed. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There are some downed trees on the Moat Mountain Trail past the Diana’s Bath section -easy enough to scoot under. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Our two for most of the time -a couple down near the parking area on our way out. Ours had a grand time mudding and swimming. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Mosquitoes and deer flies were relentless….my husband never is bothered by bugs and he even said they were awful….forgot the bug spray |

We had thought about doing a Moat Traverse (did it last summer and it was awesome!!). With the water situation (unknown) and possible storms we decided to head up to White Horse Ledge and take care of the Red Ridge Link and scout out the Red Ridge Trail a bit. We’ll save the traverse for a really nice day later this summer or fall. We weren’t sure if we would have to turn back at the Red Ridge water crossing - it was higher than last summer at this time, but manageable. This made for a really nice morning. Diana’s Baths were busy and it was fun listening to all the kids having a fun time! |
