I came down from Flune onto the Osseo trail around 6pm and the bugs were Predictable and immediately pretty terrible for the rest of the hike. The rest of the day just a minor annoyance. |

Lots of mud, lots of water, but nothing problematic. I was on kinsman ridge last week and conditions today were significantly better. The section between Lincoln and liberty was probably the muddiest. And Osseo trail was pretty mucky. However, easy enough to hop on rocks roots and displaced sticks to get past the muddier sections. We did the loop counterclockwise and I was glad to be going that direction on Garfield ridge trail, which had a lot of flowing water. |
