Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The only water crossing is of Sucker Brook less than a mile from the parking lot. We scouted for a route and successfully rock hopped across. We ended up going up river just a short distance to do it.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The upper half of the Carr Mountain trail was very wet with running water and a fair amount of mud. There were a couple of blowdowns near the very top that we could easily limbo under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Bugs were bothersome enough once we got into the woods that we used the bug spray. No issues from then on.

Comments
Comments: The trail had enough steady incline to work up a good sweat. The humidity helped with that too. The upper half of the Carr Mountain trail was very wet. It made for a tricky and slower than usual descent. Lots of mud. The Sucker Brook crossing wasn’t too bad. We took our time to choose a route and used it successfully both coming and going. No views on the summit. The former fire tower footings and stairs were cool to see though.
