Comments
Comments: We learned a reroute is currently being constructed that removes the Ammo Trail a long ways away from the river below the Gem Pool.

In the clouds we hiked up starting at 8:30. Saw a few people and met Northern stewardship trail builders and learnws about the reroute. Seems like a reroute is overboard when a few bridges would have done the trick and the trail is a horrible mess from top to bottom anyway. Windy and little for views from top of Monroe. We went to lower Lake of the clouds and inflated out pack rafts. Occasional white caps and lots of fun with mountains peeking out now and then. Almost lost my boat in the wind while heading to upper lake, it became a kite! Upper pond is an infinity pool and really cool. On way back down met tons of people going to the hut. Paddled Gem Pool too. Then it started to rain but cleared when we returned to the Cog. On base road we stopped by Upper falls to jump off the ledge with wild teenage boys. Ha ha
