|

Northern end of Mount Clay Loop missing a sign at junction with Gulfside |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Plenty of water right now for them on Ammonoosuc Ravine trail. Above treeline not much for water. Rocks are rough in Northern Presi's so it is best traveled for experienced hiking dogs |
|
 | Bugs: |
Mount Eisenhower has a sign at the base of the summit cairn warning hikers about hornets. Adams, Madison, and Jefferson had some bugs flying around but not the biting or stinging kind, just the annoying kind. |

 | Comments: |
Ammoonoosuc Ravine Trail is in good shape, it was not too muddy, ledges were dry and grippy, and the water crossings were easy. As always this could change depending on how much rain comes through on Friday & Saturday.
Above treeline all trails in great shaped and well marked with cairns. Airline had two cairns that recently fell over near the top, they were there a few days before so not sure what happened, if visibility is low just keep an eye out for this to stay on trail.
Finally a cool morning with no humidity for once, felt like normal for a few hours up there and the smoke from wildfires had cleared out. Great day above treeline. |
