Started our ZBonds Traverse before 7am from Lincoln Woods and headed to Zealand Hut. It’s been a wet summer, so we were ready to tackle the stream crossings -all managed to be very reasonable. Trails muddy and wet, but surprised by how quickly things are drying out. First time out to the Bonds for the first time in almost thirty years - never came up via Bondcliff Trail - stunning day and as before the Bonds did not disappoint - views of the Pemi outstanding. Made it along the Twinway to the hut and got there just as a storm came though. |
