1st time going in from Mill Brook Rd, really nice trail. Will go this way again. Wet & slippery early, very humid didn’t help. Refill water at Unknown Pond. Everyone’s 1st time here except me, just a beautiful spot. Kilkenny in good shape just some blowdowns but they won’t slow you down. Spur to Horn was easier than I remembered. Hazy views & hot, again I was the only 1 who had been here before. Another must see spot! Steep climb, wet in spots with some loose rock. Some ass hat decided to use the fire ring at the cabin to take a dump in. TP in the Woods, there is a privy close by! Hopefully karma is a bitch! Bunnell Rock had hazy views. We grabbed water from the seeps below here. Then up to everyone’s 1st time on Terrace. Rain made trail miserable & slippery. Spur to summit, no views. Down into Willard Notch, Trail was not fun. Wet slippery, grown in. Car wash effect just to add to the wet. 2 Camp spots, we took the lower 1. Water was flowing slow. Here. Long day made Camp a welcome site. |
