Comments
Comments: Hiked up Glen Boulder to Davis Path, then started making our way south. We hit Isolation and Davis on day 1, and camped in the saddle between Middle & South Davis. Day 2 we hit Stairs, Resolution, and Crawford on our way down. Beautiful weather with some passing showers on Monday mid-day. As we planned this trip, we did not have much information about potential water sources along the Davis Path, so we packed enough water to make it out alive and committed to documenting water sources that we came across. Especially with how wet this summer has been, there was an abundance of places for us to collect running water to filter. Below is a list of water sources we observed that we would filter from (running water, decent volume, not muddy)--perhaps this will be useful for others planning to explore the Davis Path. By no means do I guarantee you will come across these water sources under other conditions.

Water sources we observed on July 30 & 31, 2023 along Glen Boulder Trail & Davis Path:

44.23891, -71.28544 (along Glen Boulder Trail - location of sign on side path that says “SPRING.” We did not investigate.)
44.22694, -71.30708 (small spring)
44.21249, -71.30869 (skinny stream alongside trail)
44.20975, -71.30936 (stream that crosses trail - it was quite shallow yet seemed reliable. Hard to collect water from)
44.20770, -71.31320 (GREAT water source. Good tiny waterfall area where it was easy to collect water to filter.)
44.18082, -71.31763 (stream)
44.17555, -71.31892 (stream)
44.17057, -71.31925 (stream)
44.16799, -71.31875 (stream)
44.14996, -71.31982 (stream)
44.15032, -71.32071 (water source for now-removed Resolution Shelter)
44.14735, -71.31647 (stream)
44.14671, -71.31975 (stream)
44.14511, -71.32045 (stream)
