My first time up Beaver Brook trail didn't disappoint. Very steep for the first two miles and wet in some spots, but completely safe to do as long as you take it slow. The summit was ideal this morning - blue skies, some undercast and a nice cool breeze. So nice that I chatted with a few other solo hikers for 20 minutes as an excuse not to head back down too early.
The descent is exactly what you'd expect - easy going until the Beaver Brook tent site and then a bit steep. Again, take it slow and use the block steps and you'll be just fine. Lovely day for a hike. |
