Magnificent day in the woods today:) We met some lovely folks on summit, who were all enjoying the A++ views and weather. Thanks to the two women who took our picture and gave my kids chocolate:) And a HUGE thanks to the dozen or so older hikers who we met up there. When we passed them down low they formed a trekking pole tunnel for Margaret and cheered wildly for her. She had no idea what was happening and bolted through it but I think she enjoyed the experience tremendously, and I must admit this random act of fun/kindness almost brought a tear to my eye, and I will never forget the moment. Three hikes left for Margaret’s 52WAV! |
